About The Position

Want to build AI capabilities that ship to production and actually move the business? You’ll join our AI Team, working at the intersection of product, platform, and applied AI. In this role, you help turn AI opportunities into reliable services, developer tooling, and AI enabled features. You collaborate closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders, contribute across the full development lifecycle, and support the team by mentoring and raising engineering standards. You will shape how we build and run AI enabled capabilities at auxmoney, from platform foundations to real product impact. Your work will help teams ship faster and more safely, while keeping reliability, maintainability, and responsible AI usage high. You will have the autonomy to own meaningful technical decisions and see them through to production.

Requirements

Experience shipping AI powered features or building LLM or agent workflows, including prompt and tooling patterns, evaluation and monitoring, or AI safety best practices.
Several years of professional software development experience with strong skills in an object oriented programming language such as Python, PHP, Java, C#, or similar.
Experience building and maintaining backend systems in production environments.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and modern development workflows such as CI CD and infrastructure as code.
Experience integrating backend systems with AI services in production and understanding reliability and risk tradeoffs.
Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
Care about why you build something and aim for user value, not output.
Take responsibility for outcomes, lead topics from idea to production, and keep improving them after launch.
Communicate clearly, work well in cross functional teams, and enjoy sharing knowledge.
Fluent in English at C1 or C2 level.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Kafka or event driven systems.
Experience with Salesforce.
An AI enthusiast with side projects you can share.
Ideally speak German at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Drive initiatives from idea to production, proactively identify opportunities and risks, and follow through to measurable impact.
Design, build, and operate reliable and scalable services and applications that power AI based features and internal capabilities.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code, and improve reliability and maintainability through reviews, standards, and pragmatic architecture.
Evaluate where AI adds user value, prototype responsibly, and help operationalize agentic workflows such as automation, decision support, and developer productivity.
Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to build user focused functionality and iterate based on feedback and outcomes.
Share knowledge, mentor engineers when needed, and contribute to a high performing team through better tools and processes.
