Senior Accountant(m/f/d)

HYROX WorldChicago, IL

About The Position

HYROX is a global sports event series that combines running and functional fitness training in a unique race format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX has evolved into a worldwide fitness movement with events across five continents, attracting tens of thousands of athletes every season. As our Senior Accountant (m/f/d), you will be a vital driver in scaling our North American financial operations. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional to step into a high-growth environment where you won’t just follow a process—you’ll help build it. With our event calendar expanding rapidly, we need a resourceful "doer" who is ready to strengthen core accounting tasks and drive strategic financial analysis. You will partner closely with the North American leadership team to ensure our financial foundation is rock-solid while we scale one of the world's fastest-growing fitness brands.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or FP&A.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • You are a CPA, currently on the CPA track, or possess an equivalent professional qualification.
  • You are a power-user of Excel.
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a major advantage, but a general "tech-first" mindset and the ability to learn new ERP systems quickly is essential.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in environments where the answer isn't always in a manual. You are proactive, curious, and look for ways to leverage technology for efficiency.
  • You can bridge the gap between complex accounting data and clear, actionable insights for non-finance teammates.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to our Chicago office.
  • English (C-Level)

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily AP/AR operations and core accounting for North American entities, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies with a high attention to detail.
  • Support and increasingly lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and variance analysis. You will help track KPIs and contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles to keep the business on track.
  • Identify manual bottlenecks and suggest automation tools or workflow changes to make our finance function "scale-ready".
  • Maintain clean financial data and help document internal controls as we mature our governance processes.
  • Act as a financial point of contact for the operations and events teams, assisting with ad-hoc projects and founder-led initiatives.

Benefits

  • Attractive holiday & PTO plans
  • Health insurance
  • Retirement plan
  • Free parking at our office location: Goose Island, Chicago.
  • Attractive employee discounts in our HYROX stores.
