About The Position

This is a Sr Software Engineer role under our Geneva Product Development organization, working inside the Geneva Fund Accounting team to develop/maintain SS&C Geneva portfolio accounting product. You will work with our product managers and QA teams to develop and maintain functionality for the Geneva product.

Requirements

Experience with complied, object-oriented programming languages, C++ preferred
Experience using Linux or Unix operating system
Experience using debugging tools in Linux, such as gdb
Experience developing backend of enterprise software
Experience working in or to support financial industry is strongly preferred
Understanding of basic accounting principles is preferred
Understanding and experience using agentic AI harness such as claude code or Codex is preferred

Responsibilities

Work with Product Managers to understand client requirements, help design product specs through design iteration
Develop new features according to product specs, in an iterative fashion based on agile principles
Maintain existing product features by fixing internally and externally reported problems and working on escalations from clients
Working with QA team while your development unit or bug fix is going through testing process
