Senior Software Development Front End Engineer
About The Position
CVS Health Enterprise Digital is building and continuously deploying modern cloud software to help individuals manage their healthcare. This role is part of the engineering team for the Aetna Health website, helping members find the care they need and improving the experience for millions of users. The Senior Web Software Engineer II designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems using advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications. The role includes system testing and debugging, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. The engineer works with product and design teams to deliver features, refactor existing code, and improve application stability and scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with ReactJS and Redux.
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, defined as a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience.

- Experience with React.

- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Experience translating large features into software design.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions as CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities
- Contribute code and tests according to criteria established by product and engineering teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support the application in production.
- Identify opportunities to improve application stability, performance, maintainability, and extensibility.
- Lead discussions by communicating technical ideas to non-technical individuals.
- Participate in designing software architecture solutions.
- Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability to ensure solutions meet objectives.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, including code reviews, tech talks, and workshops.
- Guide and mentor junior developers to help them improve their technical skills and grow professionally.
- Collaborate with engineers and product and design teams to deliver features and refactor existing code.
