About The Position

The Amazon Payment Products (APP) Tech organization is responsible for the technology serving all APP businesses, including Co-branded Credit Cards (CBCC), Private Label Credit Cards (PLCC), Global Installment Lending (GIL), and card-based Installments. To support the growing businesses of APP and other WW Payments businesses like Digital and Emerging Market Payments (DEP) and Business Payment Products (BPP), APP Tech is organizing around worldwide feature delivery and investing in the scalability, decoupling, and optimization of its core services. The team builds and maintains foundational services and features for WW clients and customer journeys, including Acquisitions, Servicing, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Offers. As a member of the APP Core Services team, you will invent new features and develop user experiences in a fast-paced environment using agile methodology and lightweight Service Oriented Architecture design patterns with Native AWS applications. Innovation is encouraged, and developers are expected to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
