About The Position

Join the Evisort Platform UI team, where you’ll be building the foundational design system that powers our entire product suite. You’ll be working with a high-impact, cross-functional team that sits at the intersection of Product, Design and Engineering. We are focused on creating a seamless, automated workflow that scales—moving beyond just "maintaining a library" to architecting a systemic framework that simplifies the daily lives of every designer and engineer at the company. Evisort Engineering is growing! As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team dedicated to driving our technical strategy for high-quality user interfaces. You’ll act as the primary bridge between Design, Product, and Engineering, ensuring that design intent translates perfectly into type-safe, production-ready code. Your technical contributions and team-first mindset will play a key role in delivering an intuitive and efficient "source of truth" that helps our global organization build better products, faster.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript, with a focus on building shared component libraries or design systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Core Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, and ARIA)
  • Proven experience building systemic frameworks, not just UI kits; you understand the nuances of Design Tokens and multi-platform scaling.
  • Hands-on experience with Vite, Storybook, and modern CI/CD workflows
  • A commitment to WCAG compliance and experience with visual regression tools like Chromatic or Playwright.
  • Comfortable navigating Figma variants and variables
  • Experience using coding agents (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and automate repetitive UI tasks.
  • Strong ability to drive alignment between stakeholders and translate complex UI problems into clear, thoughtful technical solutions.
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, team-oriented environment and contributing to the growth of your teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Figma API or plugin development is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams to build and evolve our design system vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Architect core component libraries and design token systems using React and TypeScript, ensuring they are clean, type-safe, and highly reusable.
  • Participate in a supportive, iterative frontend team culture that has a commitment to being "DOM-first".
  • Take ownership of the design-to-code pipeline, working with designers to ensure Figma mocks and specs are translated to Design System implementation.
  • Champion the adoption of the design system across the engineering org through documentation, workshops, and pair programming.
  • Implement comprehensive visual testing and accessibility strategies to ensure WCAG compliance and prevent regressions.
