We are seeking a VP‑level Senior Software Developer to lead development and implementation of analytics tools and APIs for quants and portfolio managers. You will provide technical leadership while remaining hands‑on:

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production‑grade systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive hands‑on experience using Pandas and SQL in production environments.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Proven experience building and operating distributed systems or large‑scale data processing platforms.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with the flexibility to take on multiple responsibilities and deliver under time pressure.
  • Direct experience working with quantitative teams or strong familiarity with quantitative workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Front‑end development experience, including JavaScript and modern UI frameworks.
  • Additional depth in large‑scale distributed architectures and performance‑critical systems.
  • Broader experience across cloud services and infrastructure tooling beyond core AWS usage.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable front‑end applications, high‑performance backend services, and APIs
  • Translate quantitative and portfolio‑manager requirements into robust technical designs and delivery plans
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, quants, and portfolio managers to define scope, priorities, and solutions
  • Own production delivery, system reliability, and incident response
  • Lead by example through hands‑on development and technical decision‑making
  • Mentor and support peers, contributing to engineering best practices and a strong development culture
