About The Position

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join its Admin Access and Insights Team. The team operates within the Autodesk Platform Services organization, dedicated to realizing the “managing access” charter. They focus on enhancing experiences for user, project, and developer administrators through AI-driven solutions, expanding capabilities to encompass new products. Their vision is to facilitate seamless collaboration by offering services that effectively connect people, products, and data. The role is hybrid based in Toronto. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience
  • Hands-on Java programming skills and exposure to Spring Boot
  • Typescript experience is a plus
  • Experience using databases like MySQL, DynamoDB
  • Working knowledge of AWS technologies like Lambda, ECS, SQS
  • Working knowledge of Big Data Technologies like AWS-Kinesis, Kafka, Snowflake
  • Excellent analyzing and problem-solving skills
  • Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools and applying generative AI capabilities to improve developer productivity, code quality, or software delivery workflows
  • Familiarity with agentic automation concepts, including designing or integrating AI-driven workflows, autonomous task execution, or intelligent process automation into software systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and stable code for use in products and solutions for customers, making it easier for other developers to maintain, enhance and reuse
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, participate in automation and regression testing
  • Ensure new code follows best security practices
  • Document new code and features developed, including changes to existing code
  • Write and present code design specifications
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to standards
  • Ensure new code, feature, or software product meets performance goals/metrics
  • Understand and promote agile methodologies, principles, and values within the team
  • Participate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve on future iterations
  • Work with Product Owner and/or Product Manager/Team to understand and help refine functional requirements for new products or upgrades and have a clear understanding of what definition of “done” is
  • Mentor and provide direction to less experienced software engineers regarding company development processes and product architecture, at senior levels
