About The Position

HealthStream, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain the software products offered by the company. This role involves working with team leaders and product managers to understand and refine requirements, training and mentoring junior development staff, and designing and estimating the effort for new features. The ideal candidate will develop quality, defect-free software adhering to company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Analytics (any), Telecom, Electrical/Electronics, Business (any), Management (any), or a related field of study
• Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
• Demonstrated experience with Web-based applications using .NET (MVC/WebForms/Core), C#, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Angular JS, jQuery
• Demonstrated experience with Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio, SQL querying and performance tuning
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps practices and automation, SOLID Development Principles, Object-oriented Design Patterns, Code refactoring
• Demonstrated experience with Agile project management, ideally focused on SCRUM or Kanban

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the software products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practices and product offerings.
• Work with team leaders and product managers to understand and refine requirements.
• Train and mentor junior development staff in technology best practices and product requirements.
• Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design.
• Develop quality, defect-free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
