About The Position

The Department of Advanced Technologies at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is seeking to fill two vacancies for a full-time Senior Software Developer. The selected candidates will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation and delivery of complex information technology services, conducting IT assessments and needs analyses, and designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining various information systems, software applications, and organizational databases. They will also provide support and maintenance for existing client software applications, develop and implement data conversion/migration projects, manage risk identification and mitigation, provide end-user training, and prepare and conduct technical presentations and reports for the client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related, and six (6) years of experience providing information technology services.
  • Experience can be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation and delivery of complex information technology services that require increased skill in multiple technical environments.
  • Conduct complex information technology assessments and needs analyses.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain various information systems, software applications and organizational databases as needed for the client.
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing client software applications.
  • Develop and implement data conversion/migration projects.
  • Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide end-user training on complex information technology systems.
  • Prepare and conduct technical presentations for the client.
  • Prepare reports documenting activities performed for the client.
