About The Position

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing of new solutions and the maintenance of existing products. They must be able to clearly and effectively communicate within the team, provide solutions to problems and share their knowledge and experience with the rest of the team. This position is based out of our Calgary office and is a hybrid position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in with C#, SQL Server, and GIT.
• 5-7 years of professional experience using Azure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of C#, SQL Server, and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET Core, and EF Core.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and load testing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Terraform, Python and ESRI JS APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Blazor.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications keeping in mind performance, usability, and scalability.
• Participate in spring planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain existing software by gaining domain knowledge and safely refactoring code.
• Provide input on proposed solutions leveraging past experiences to quickly identify potential gaps.
• Debug and fix problems as they arise.
• Ability to clearly communicate proposed solutions to other developers.
• Identify challenges before they arise.
• Support and develop the team through pull requests, providing advice, and sharing past successes and failures.
• Collaborative, ego-free approach to problem solving.
• Be a good teammate.
