About The Position

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing the Nexus digital platform. This role serves as a technical leader within the development team, driving application modernization, cloud adoption, software quality, and delivery excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong full stack development expertise, a passion for solving complex business problems, and experience delivering scalable enterprise solutions in an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in: C# / .NET Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS SQL Server and database design
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience performing code reviews and mentoring developers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with: Docker and Kubernetes MongoDB and NoSQL databases Enterprise SSO and claims-based authentication Cloud modernization initiatives AWS services and cloud migrations
  • Experience within the energy, oil & gas, or industrial technology sectors.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps, observability, and application monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications supporting the Nexus platform.
  • Build scalable and maintainable solutions using Angular, .NET/C#, SQL, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Lead application architecture discussions and recommend modernization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and backend services.
  • Create reusable components and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Support technical decision-making and solution design reviews.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Support deployment automation, monitoring, and release management processes.
  • Implement cloud-native and containerized solutions utilizing Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Ensure adherence to secure coding standards and enterprise security requirements.
  • Perform application performance tuning and optimization.
  • Support testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify and remediate technical debt and operational risks.
  • Work closely with product teams to gather and refine requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Assist with production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
