Sr. Software Developer
About The Position
HealthStream, Inc. is seeking to hire multiple Senior Software Developers. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the company's software products in alignment with technology best practices and product offerings. This position requires collaboration with team leaders and product managers to understand and refine requirements, as well as training and mentoring junior development staff. The developer will be responsible for designing and estimating the effort for new features or subsystems, from initial business concept to detailed technical design, and for developing high-quality, defect-free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Analytics (any), Telecom, Electrical/Electronics, Business (any), Management (any), or a related field of study
- Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Demonstrated experience with Web-based applications using .NET (MVC/WebForms/Core)
- Demonstrated experience with C#
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Demonstrated experience with JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience with HTML/CSS
- Demonstrated experience with Angular JS
- Demonstrated experience with jQuery
- Demonstrated experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Demonstrated experience with Visual Studio
- Demonstrated experience with SQL querying and performance tuning
- Demonstrated experience with DevOps practices and automation
- Demonstrated experience with SOLID Development Principles
- Demonstrated experience with Object-oriented Design Patterns
- Demonstrated experience with Code refactoring
- Demonstrated experience with Agile project management, ideally focused on SCRUM or Kanban
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the software products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practices and product offerings.
- Work with team leaders and product managers to understand and refine requirements.
- Train and mentor junior development staff in technology best practices and product requirements.
- Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design.
- Develop quality, defect-free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
