Senior Software Developer, Test and Automation

About The Position

This senior software developer role focuses on testing and automation for NVIDIA’s embedded software. The position contributes directly to verification strategy and the development of future test automation systems, working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change. The developer will help ensure the functional and performance quality of embedded software, create AI-enhanced automation, collaborate across teams, and investigate and resolve defects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and deploying automation systems.
Track record of developing large-scale, logical code from scratch in Python or C++.
Hands-on experience using agentic AI assistants to automate complete work processes and run them autonomously, including building stable, long-term agentic pipelines that autonomously complete parts of development and verification processes.
Experience with embedded systems and automotive sensors such as cameras.
Proficiency in Linux environments and versatility across Linux and Unix-like systems.
Experience with source control systems such as Git and Perforce.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, including effective collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex issues.

Experience identifying inference endpoints and optimizing them for accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop new test strategies and extend existing ones to ensure functional and performance quality.
Design and develop agentic systems that autonomously verify different domains of embedded software.
Build AI-enhanced automation tools to streamline testing processes.
Collaborate with development, verification, and customer-facing teams to understand products and real-world applications and drive continuous improvement.
Analyze and root-cause issues down to the code level, lead defect fixing, and provide effective fixes.
