About The Position

The Senior Social Worker provides day-to-day clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the New Rochelle Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). This role ensures high-quality crisis intervention, consistent clinical practice, and adherence to trauma-informed, person-centered care standards. The Clinical Lead supports clinicians in the field, promotes strong internal workflows, and contributes to the overall functioning of the team.

Requirements

LMSW certification required.
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or related field.
Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis de-escalation, and clinical judgment.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Westchester County.

Nice To Haves

Experience in mobile crisis, community-based services, or emergency response preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for the New Rochelle MCRT team.
Provide real-time clinical guidance during crisis responses, including risk assessment, safety planning, and de-escalation strategies.
Support clinicians in determining appropriate dispositions, referrals, and follow-up needs.
Assist with clinical decision-making for complex or high-acuity cases.
Participate in field responses as needed to support clinicians or manage high-risk situations.
Model trauma-informed, culturally responsive engagement with individuals and families.
Ensure clinical consistency across shifts and team members.
Support the Program Director in maintaining smooth daily operations for the New Rochelle team.
Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and internal coordination efforts.
Maintain strong communication with the Program Director and other MCRT leads across Yonkers and Mt. Vernon.
Support coordination with community partners, hospitals, and service providers as needed for participant care.
Represent the New Rochelle MCRT in internal discussions and cross-team initiatives.
