About The Position

The Senior Social Worker provides day-to-day clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the New Rochelle Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). This role ensures high-quality crisis intervention, consistent clinical practice, and adherence to trauma-informed, person-centered care standards. The Clinical Lead supports clinicians in the field, promotes strong internal workflows, and contributes to the overall functioning of the team.

Requirements

  • LMSW certification required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or related field.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis de-escalation, and clinical judgment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Westchester County.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mobile crisis, community-based services, or emergency response preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for the New Rochelle MCRT team.
  • Provide real-time clinical guidance during crisis responses, including risk assessment, safety planning, and de-escalation strategies.
  • Support clinicians in determining appropriate dispositions, referrals, and follow-up needs.
  • Assist with clinical decision-making for complex or high-acuity cases.
  • Participate in field responses as needed to support clinicians or manage high-risk situations.
  • Model trauma-informed, culturally responsive engagement with individuals and families.
  • Ensure clinical consistency across shifts and team members.
  • Support the Program Director in maintaining smooth daily operations for the New Rochelle team.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and internal coordination efforts.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Program Director and other MCRT leads across Yonkers and Mt. Vernon.
  • Support coordination with community partners, hospitals, and service providers as needed for participant care.
  • Represent the New Rochelle MCRT in internal discussions and cross-team initiatives.
