About The Position
The Senior Social Worker provides psychosocial services to patients and families in an inpatient psychiatric unit, coordinates discharge planning and continuity of care, and helps patients enhance their ability to cope with illness and daily functioning. The role involves partnering across key areas and contributing to patient care, education, and strong patient outcomes. This is a full-time day-shift position scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW).
- New York State license as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Three years of experience or training in a hospital.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care rehabilitation experience.
- Supervisory experience.
