About The Position

As a FedRAMP Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will lead the operations and architecture of our mission-critical Federal region, ensuring peak availability, performance, and security for high-volume data streams. You will implement an "everything-as-code" strategy to design and manage resilient AWS cloud-native services while maintaining rigorous compliance with FedRAMP standards through continuous auditing and automated security controls. By collaborating closely with development and security teams, you will optimize infrastructure for multi-region scale and proactively address complex operational challenges across the platform. This role is uniquely exciting because it challenges you to master the intersection of high-scale distributed systems and government-grade compliance, allowing you to build the foundations that support secure, seamless digital experiences for federal organizations. This role requires U.S. citizenship and may perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. This role follows a hybrid work model, with in-office attendance expected in the San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, or New York office.

Requirements

  • Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years of related experience, or PhD + 1 year of related experience, or equivalent related work experience
  • Experience building or operating infrastructure within highly regulated environments, including the documented implementation of security controls and compliance requirements for frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC2.
  • Ability to write high-quality code in Python, Go, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems, the kernel, system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
  • Knowledge of cloud providers, ideally AWS and Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally with Terraform, Puppet, and Kubernetes.
