S&B is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager to provide overall management direction for field construction projects. This role may occasionally involve the additional responsibilities of a Project Manager. Requirements

Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Construction Manager role.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
Ability to effectively use digital tools for project coordination, reporting, scheduling updates, and communication.
Comfort working in a technology-enabled construction environment, including use of laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Willingness to adapt to evolving company systems, software platforms, and digital workflows.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering design drawings, technical procedures, specifications, government regulations, business correspondence, and manuals.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to hear.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and balance.
Clear close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management.

Responsibilities

Provide overall management direction for field construction projects.
Supervise Construction Managers, Project Superintendents, Craft Superintendents, General Foremen, and Foremen.
Effectively manage projects of varying size and complexity, including those with direct hire scopes ranging from 500MM to 2 billion man-hours.
Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
Ensure sound knowledge of cost and schedule adherence.
Employ tact, diplomacy, and influence in management.
Understand and manage the inter-working relationships between various craft trades, including subcontractors.
Anticipate and implement corrective actions to limit potential labor-related disputes.
Report to the assigned AOM, VP of Field Operations, and Sr. VP of EPC and Construction.
Make decisions and recommendations that can greatly impact corporate relationships with clients and project profitability.
Plan, organize, and staff key field positions through department heads.
Implement, manage, and provide safety leadership to ensure zero injury safety results.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.
Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients and engineers to facilitate construction activities.
Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
Investigate potentially serious delay situations and implement corrective measures.
Represent the Company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the Company’s interest while maintaining a good relationship with the client.
Communicate directions effectively verbally to craft supervisors and respond to questions from clients, managers, and fellow workers.
Apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
