Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or substantial civil engineering experience supported by a bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of site civil engineering experience across a variety of project types.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Demonstrated experience with stormwater system design, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Strong understanding of grading, site layout, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and site-development requirements.
  • Ability to independently make sound engineering and design decisions.
  • Experience coordinating projects with clients, permitting authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to balance technical quality, schedules, and multiple project priorities.
  • Ability to travel as needed for projects, client meetings, and company activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site civil engineering efforts across projects ranging from initial concept through construction and closeout.
  • Design and oversee site layout, grading, stormwater/drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Develop stormwater management designs and technical reports and perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Prepare and support SWPPPs and other site-development documentation.
  • Manage civil engineering workflows, schedules, deliverables, and quality standards across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, government agencies, permitting authorities, and local officials.
  • Guide projects through site permitting, as-built documentation, platting, and closeout.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of civil plans, calculations, and reports.
  • Support the continued development of a growing site civil team while maintaining strong client relationships.
