About The Position

As a Site Civil Engineer, you will be a key member of the Ground Systems development team responsible for ground station site design for the Leo Ground Gateway and Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT&C) Sites. Leo Ground Gateways are used to ensure high data rate transmissions to and from our satellites and ensuring our customers are delighted by our service. Leo TT&C systems are used to transmit and receive satellite command and control data in support of mission critical launch and early operation periods. Terminals include both state of art tracking antennas and innovative supporting systems. In the role of Senior Site Civil Engineer, you will conduct weekly meetings with engineering consultants and construction vendors. You will provide technical oversight in the development and review of civil and antenna field drawing sets, review analyses, and oversee infrastructure acceptance testing at the completion of site upgrades. You will also work with and be a part of an experienced cross-disciplinary team responsible for the deployment of a global network of ground gateway stations that support the LEO constellation and enable high throughput communication for Amazon customers. The Ground Systems team is responsible for the architecture, design, build, and installation of Leo’s Ground and TT&C Gateways. Our Ground Gateways enable high data rate, low latency communications between Leo Points of Presence and our Low Earth Orbit Satellite constellation. TT&C Gateways support satellite Launch and Early Orbit enabling command and control of the satellites during this critical phase. The team works closely with the Networks, Regulatory, Payload Test, and RF Systems teams to ensure Leo provides a seamless customer experience.
