About The Position

Analog Devices is seeking an experienced and versatile Systems Architecture, Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer to join its system design group. The role is part of a global team of systems, algorithm, and software engineers working on state-of-the-art technologies for next-generation communication and wireless systems, including system-on-chip products with applications in communications, avionics, and instrumentation. The engineer will be responsible for a specific product or group of products throughout their life cycle, participating in product development from definition through evaluation, characterization, testing, support, and final release. The role involves collaborating with team members to develop solutions that meet system functional requirements, using technical expertise and peer leadership. The work includes simulating and analyzing signal-processing chains, partitioning systems between hardware and software, evaluating hardware and software systems, developing algorithmic software for embedded systems, and evaluating and debugging designs in the lab.

Requirements

  • A PhD or MS in electrical engineering or computer science; the posting associates the PhD with 0–5 years of experience and the MS with a minimum of 5 years of experience in algorithm development and implementation on a real-time embedded software platform.
  • Experience in signal-processing theory and algorithm development.
  • Experience with embedded platforms and embedded software development paradigms.
  • Ability to work in a distributed development environment.
  • Strong coding and programming skills; C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, or similar are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop algorithmic software on real-time embedded platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop requirements and design documents.
  • Knowledge of communication theory codes.
  • Knowledge of processor and DSP architectures.
  • Knowledge of digital design and RTL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira or Trac.
