About The Position

The Sensors Division at STR develops advanced sensor systems and platforms supporting national security requirements, including airborne, spaceborne, and surface-based radar; electronic warfare; underwater acoustics; hyperspectral imaging; and EO/IR sensing. The Algorithms, Processing and Experimentation (APEX) Group develops RF/radar modes, skills, and applications, with an emphasis on advanced signal processing chains and algorithm research. Its work is intended to mature technologies for implementation and integration into RF-based systems, tailored to the needs of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. In this role, you will develop, implement, test, and demonstrate novel signal processing, optimization, and machine learning algorithms for electronic warfare, radar, and remote sensing applications. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to research next-generation sensing concepts and transition algorithms into integrated systems for laboratory and field demonstrations. The role calls for expertise in one or more relevant technical areas, strong analytical and scientific programming skills, and the ability to collaborate with researchers, engineers, and customers to solve challenging technical problems. STR is a growing technology company specializing in advanced research and development for defense, intelligence, and national security. Its work includes cyber; next-generation sensors, radar, sonar, communications, and electronic warfare; and artificial intelligence algorithms and analytics. STR describes its environment as collaborative and learning-oriented, and is an equal opportunity employer. Employees must obtain required national security clearances and comply with export control and other applicable laws.
