About The Position

Senior Shipping Support will package valued-added electronic communication equipment into shipping containers for delivery to domestic and international customers using carriers and freight forwarders. Enter data into MRP system and other databases to record export/shipping information. Perform cycle counts and inventory transactions. File US government shipping data for international transactions.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of shipping, inventory and warehouse processes.
Experience with computers, Inventory MRP systems and working knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience with documenting and providing solutions for process related discrepancies and improvements.

Nice To Haves

Complete understanding and experienced with ERP systems and execution of inventory transactions including but not limited to WIP Receipts, Moves, and Shipments.
Understanding and ability to reconcile any discrepancies.
Ability to compile reports and create documentation using Microsoft office tools (Excel/Word) and/or PDF.
Excellent counting skills and basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to complete verbal or written assignments in a timely manner with high level of accuracy.
Must be flexible to work overtime to meet customer and manufacturing schedules including weekends and or holidays as needed.
Dead lift 35 lbs. or maneuver up to 50 lbs. and manipulate items in excess of this using appropriate material handling equipment and or teamwork.
Ability to operate / use forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, carts and standard material handling equipment.

Experience with shipping and inventory processes/systems within a warehouse environment.
Experience in collecting data from multiple sources for cycle counting and reconciliation efforts.
Detail orientated attention and adherence to packing and shipping procedures and departmental policies.
Must be a benchmark for demonstrating the ability to work at a fast pace, productively maintaining accuracy under extreme time constraints and pressure.
Working knowledge and understanding of freight carriers (FedEx, DHL and UPS) and freight forwarders process(s).
Understand and execute thoroughly Shipping Process and Systems (Clippership, Carrier Systems).
Understanding of international shipping documentation and requirements.
