We are open to hire at either the Senior or Lead Market Settlement Analyst level, depending on experience (salary band and job requirements listed are for senior level). This role involves identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities in market settlement processes, comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions, and taking action consistent with available facts. The analyst will compile, organize, and format data for reporting, identify and research reporting issues, and assist with the adoption of new reporting requirements. A key aspect of the role is understanding the regulatory framework and rate case outcomes that drive the business, supporting regulatory initiatives by gathering data and preparing necessary documentation. The position requires a strong understanding of MISO and market settlement processes, including reconciling third-party shadow settlement systems and financial statements, designing test scripts, and performing testing of internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley purposes. Business acumen, including a working knowledge of financial statements, metrics, and strategic initiatives, is essential, as is a general knowledge of other departments within the Energy Supply and Optimization (ES&O) organization. The role also involves documenting work fully and accurately, and taking action to improve existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
