About The Position

Set Up mechanic II will serve as the subject matter expert for their packaging resource. Their daily duties will include the Set-up, changeover, troubleshooting and efficient operation of packaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. They are responsible for all specialized maintenance, repair and reliability of the packaging and filling machinery. In addition, they will support other areas of the business as required / assigned.

Requirements

Subject matter expert for packaging resources.
Proficiency in set-up, changeover, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of packaging equipment.
Adherence to safety protocols.
Specialized maintenance, repair, and reliability skills for packaging and filling machinery.
Knowledge of GMP and SOP guidelines.
Compliance with safety/OSHA/FDA regulations.
Ability to perform emergency or unscheduled repairs.
Skill in minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
Ability to check and set up various packaging machines including bottle unscrambler/capper, slat counter, powder fillers, label machine, induction seal machine, outset machine, and cap torque.
Ability to adjust guide rails as per bottle size.
Ability to check and adjust parameters in HMI.
Knowledge of Track and Trace system on label machine, 360 station, Aggregation and Pallet station.
Ability to check and perform preventative maintenance.
Ability to set automatic cap rejection center.

Assist other maintenance staff in completing special projects or maintenance work.
Assist operations for line qualification/equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQ.
Check and maintain inventory of fast moving spare parts of the packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for packaging resources.
Perform set-up, changeover, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of packaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsible for specialized maintenance, repair, and reliability of packaging and filling machinery.
Support other areas of the business as required/assigned.
Follow GMP and SOP guidelines.
Comply with safety/OSHA/FDA regulations.
Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs on packaging equipment.
Perform minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
Check with operations for packaging schedule and any related changeovers.
Check change parts for cleanliness and arrange for cleaning if required.
Install change parts and set up bottle unscrambler/capper machine, adjust guide rails as per bottle size.
Check set up of slat counter and powder fillers.
Check parameters in slat counter and powder fillers HMI and adjust if required.
Set up and operation of label Machine, induction seal machine, outset machine and cap torque as per the PBR.
Assist other maintenance staff in completing special projects or maintenance work.
Assist operations for line qualification/equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQ.
Check and maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts of the packaging equipment.
Have knowledge of Track and Trace system on the label machine, 360 station, Aggregation and Pallet station.
Check and perform preventative maintenance as required/scheduled.
Set the automatic cap rejection center for high/crooked and no cap foil rejection as per bottle size.
Perform other duties as assigned.
