About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned Senior Service Delivery Manager to join a well-rounded team supporting an enterprise IT organization at a Fortune 50 company. This role involves strategic planning for network monitoring, evaluating and integrating monitoring tools, and leading a team of specialists. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, and the ability to ensure optimal network health through performance monitoring, analysis, and alert management. Collaboration with other IT teams, reporting to stakeholders, and staying updated on the latest network monitoring trends are also key aspects of this position. The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a drive to push the team towards greater performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Must be a technical manager.
  • Hands-on experience with various network monitoring tools (e.g., SevOne, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.) and hands-on delivery of Tooling solutions across the enterprise.
  • Exposure to a complex IT environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of alert life cycles, ITSM procedures, and methodology.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based network monitoring solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Comfortable with both vertical and horizontal integrations with APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for network monitoring that align with overall business objectives and IT priorities.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and deploy network monitoring tools, ensuring they meet customer-specific needs and integrate with existing infrastructure, systems, and APIs (Web APIs - i.e., webGL, WebSockets/WebHooks, Canvas, REST, SOAP etc.).
  • Lead and mentor a team of network monitoring specialists, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
  • Oversee the monitoring of network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network health.
  • Establish and manage alert systems, ensuring timely response to network events and potential security threats using best ITSM practices and a net-dev-ops culture.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, such as network engineers, architects, cybersecurity, and IT support, to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, communicate findings to stakeholders, and participate in team meetings.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in network monitoring, including emerging tools and best practices.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges to push the team to greater performance and efficiency.
