As a defense contractor, your work will directly support the Department of Defense and national security objectives in a mission-critical environment. This role involves providing multi-discipline Security Specialists to support the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs. You will be responsible for briefing and training on command security practices, updating security publications, contributing to history reports, maintaining the SSO webpage, inspecting and providing feedback for the Command Inspection Program, and coordinating the Courier Authorization Program. This includes coordinating courier authorizations, tracking, documentation, briefings, training, and issuing authorizations. You will also coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service for classified material delivery and pickup, and provide SME guidance for forward-deployed units.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience as a Security Professional.
• Experience working at a Combatant Command Security Office or deployed as an SSO or served as an FSO.
• Must be able to function independently as a senior level SSO.
• TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to support the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs.
• Brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA).
• Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
• Provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage.
• Inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
• Coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization in support of the Courier Authorization Program.
• Coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.
