About The Position

The Department of Technology & Information (DTI) is seeking a Senior Security Operations Center Analyst to join their world-class Security Operations Team. This role focuses on protecting customer data and network traffic, administering and overseeing information security systems, tools, policies, and procedures. The analyst will provide technical leadership in monitoring critical information systems to detect and analyze abnormalities, initiate corrective actions, and restore systems. The primary focus is on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the infrastructure and the processes for delivering applications and services. This position aims to improve the State’s overall security posture and strengthen security capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess high expectations, solid industry knowledge, ambition, talent, and strong people skills.

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years Information Technology experience in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve security issues related to network devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, cloud services.
  • Knowledge of security tools and understanding of security vulnerabilities.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and server systems technology, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, Next-gen AV/Endpoint security, Email, Storage, Syslog, Windows Server, Identity Access Mgmt., TCP/IP.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in IT Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, I/T discipline or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Administering and overseeing information security systems, tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing technical leadership in monitoring a wide and varied number of critical information systems.
  • Detecting and analyzing abnormalities/problems in information systems.
  • Initiating corrective actions and restoring systems to normal function.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the infrastructure and the processes for delivering applications and services.
  • Improving the State’s overall security posture and strengthening security capabilities.
