About The Position

This role focuses on supporting ongoing cloud security engineering efforts, primarily in AWS with some Azure exposure. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining preventative and detective cloud security controls, including IAM and least-privilege access controls, network security baselines and guardrails, logging, monitoring, and configuration standards, and CSPM-driven misconfiguration detection and remediation. The position also involves performing cloud security design and risk reviews for infrastructure changes, services, and SaaS integrations. A key aspect of the role is partnering closely with Cloud Platform, DevOps, and application teams to embed security into designs and implementations, clearly documenting findings, recommendations, and security guidance. The engineer will work effectively with a geographically distributed team across Irvine, San Antonio, and New York.

  • Experience implementing cloud-native security controls and patterns.
  • Familiarity with CSPM concepts (misconfiguration detection, risk prioritization, remediation workflows).
  • Experience with identity and access reviews, secrets management, and security guardrails.
  • Foundational-to-intermediate understanding of SaaS security (access models, integrations, risk reviews).
  • Ability to automate or script security tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high emotional intelligence.

Nice To Haves
