About The Position

WeightWatchers is hiring a Senior Security Engineer focused on cloud and infrastructure security. The role works with experienced security engineers and partners across the company to protect patients and support secure digital health products and services. The engineer will improve the company’s cloud security posture, develop secure infrastructure, and help guide the enterprise’s safe adoption of AI tools. This includes building production-grade AI agents that transform threat detection, alert triage, vulnerability management, and incident response, as well as replacing manual security runbooks with intelligent agents that can reason, act, and escalate. The role also addresses infrastructure security challenges, researches threats and attack vectors, strengthens defense-in-depth, develops vulnerability and risk-management solutions, maintains cloud-security KPIs, and participates in an incident on-call rotation. The position is part of WeightWatchers’ hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, and CSPM tools, such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, and Scanner.
  • Cloud security experience, especially with AWS IAM, secure service configuration, and AWS security services and capabilities such as CloudTrail, SCPs, AWS Organizations, and Config.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes security, including secure deployments, network policies, service-to-service authentication and authorization, RBAC, workload identity, admission controllers, and runtime security.
  • Experience responding to complex incidents across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to understand an unfamiliar system well enough to respond successfully to an incident involving it.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code; the company uses Terraform.
  • Ability to understand the whole solution, not just the technology, and focus on the end-to-end lifecycle of solving problems rather than only implementing security technology.
  • Well-rounded problem-solving approach and care for patient and employee experience when addressing security challenges.
  • Ability and willingness to drive decision-making and collaboration and form considered opinions on security design.
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, or securing AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.
  • Proven track record of building production-grade security AI agents or agent-powered tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build security for the company’s infrastructure.
  • Partner with infrastructure, engineering, compliance, and security teams to maintain and improve cloud security posture management and deliver secure products and services.
  • Support safe, thoughtful enterprise adoption of AI tools and influence AI-native security practices.
  • Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents for threat detection, alert triage, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Reimagine security processes using agentic AI, including replacing manual runbooks with agents that can reason, take action, and escalate when needed.
  • Address infrastructure security challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Research threats and attack vectors affecting WeightWatchers applications and infrastructure.
  • Strengthen defense-in-depth through secure-by-default frameworks, architectures, and processes.
  • Create solutions and processes to identify, resolve, and mitigate security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Define and maintain key KPIs for a healthy infrastructure and cloud security program.
  • Detect and respond to security incidents and participate in an on-call rotation for critical and non-critical alerts.
