Senior Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Rush Street Interactive. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining effective solutions to enhance the overall security of our company's production network, systems, and data. Your main focus will be on detecting and addressing security incidents, as well as strengthening our infrastructure to prevent future cybersecurity events. As a market leader in online casino and sports betting, we are looking for a candidate who can contribute to our goal of creating amazing, integrated experiences for our players.

Design and implement technical security mechanisms and technologies for our production systems

Own our Zero-Trust architecture

Perform vulnerability assessments to identify control weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend remedial actions

Own the security monitoring and log analysis initiative and improve existing solutions

Develop and validate baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, and networking equipment

Conduct infrastructure penetration testing

Perform technical security audits

Implement and manage endpoint security solutions for production systems

Respond to security breach within the networks and systems

Working with the infrastructure teams on security-critical features

• At least 5 years' experience in the cybersecurity field
• Knowledge of operations, maintenance and functionality of firewalls and other security systems
• Experience and knowledge of modern penetration testing frameworks and tools
• Extensive hands-on experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience with ISO 27001 controls and PCI DSS requirements
• Knowledge of the latest trends in the world of cyber security
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with developing and implementing File Integrity Monitoring systems (nice to have)
• Experience with developing and implementing DLP systems & software (nice to have)
