About The Position

The Senior Security Analyst will be part of the Security Team. The candidate will implement standard security policies and procedures. Will also proactively manage and prevent threats to the Santander environment. This role involves monitoring branch burglar alarm systems, threat intelligence feeds, corporate door alarms, and video surveillance equipment, as well as handling SOC telephone calls and emails. The analyst will assist with evaluating physical security incidents for potential impact and coordinate incident response efforts. Ensuring incidents are properly escalated and communicated, and reviewing documentation for accuracy are key responsibilities. The role also includes analyzing incidents, responding promptly, coordinating response efforts, escalating major incidents, and preparing comprehensive reports. Additionally, the analyst will answer calls, dispatch emergency services, provision physical access, assist with after-hours access requests, test alarm equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting of security systems. Administrative work is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 3+ Years Experience working in a professional management information system setting with relevant information security skills
  • 3+ Years Experience working with information security best practices, networking, software/applications and hardware
  • Strong PC skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of designing, articulating and testing technical and organizational measures .
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in security, network, and server monitoring technologies.
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Focused on developing concrete solutions to fix root-cause problems.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure analysts are continuously and properly monitoring branch burglar alarm systems, threat intelligence feeds, corporate door alarms, and video surveillance equipment along with SOC telephone calls and emails.
  • Assist analysts with evaluating physical security incidents for potential impact to employees, customers and property.
  • Direct analysts as they coordinate incident response efforts between on-site security personnel, law enforcement officers, and various internal business teams.
  • Ensure incidents are properly escalated to management and communicated to the employee population as needed.
  • Review alarm and incident documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor branch burglar alarm systems, threat intelligence feeds, corporate door alarms, and video surveillance equipment.
  • Continuously observe SOC email and telephone systems for security-related events or communications.
  • Analyze physical security incidents to determine their potential impact on employees, customers, and property.
  • Respond to incidents promptly and effectively in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate incident response efforts between on-site security personnel, law enforcement officers, and various internal business teams.
  • Escalate major incidents to management.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports summarizing incidents and the actions taken.
  • Answer both emergency and non-emergency calls, providing callers with accurate guidance on physical security matters.
  • Dispatch emergency services for critical life safety events, such as medical emergencies.
  • Provision physical access to corporate offices and retail branch locations as needed.
  • Assist vendors and other authorized personnel with after-hours access requests.
  • Assist with alarm equipment testing to ensure the proper functionality of security systems, including hold-up alarms.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of access control, burglar alarm, and video surveillance systems to resolve equipment problems and open service calls as required.
  • Complete additional administrative work as assigned.
