About The Position

The Machine Technician is responsible for machine set up, machine repair and uniform and consistent machine operation. The Machine Technician Trainee or Machine Tech 1 performs similar duties within a developmental role. All work is performed in a climate-controlled environment. This role involves assisting in ensuring the output of our process is a quality part, reviewing part quality with Inspector Packers to learn if parts are within acceptable standards, and adjusting machine settings as necessary to ensure parts are within acceptable standards. The role also includes receiving ongoing training in machine set up and operation, performing duties of inspector packer when needed, following good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety, and completing production records as needed. Training on first shift (06:15am-2:30pm) for approximately one month will be required during the first month.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Desire for continual learning and personal development
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in English
  • Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (More than 50 lbs requires a team lift)
  • Frequent repetitious tasks with upper extremities
  • Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floor
  • Ability to correctly wear/use personal protective equipment including long sleeves
  • Frequent climbing steps and/or ladders while working on elevated platforms
