About the position
Material Bank is seeking an experienced and innovative Software Engineer with expertise in Go/Golang and ElasticSearch. The role involves creating machine-learning-based processes to enrich search data, developing and supporting software applications, and overseeing cross-functional teams to ensure project success. The engineer will also spearhead core services and systems, including a first-class ElasticSearch-based search capability. Responsibilities
- Create machine-learning-based processes to enrich search data
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Oversee teams cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Spearhead core services, libraries, and other systems with high leverage across Material Bank and all of Material Technologies
- Develop a first-class ElasticSearch-based search capability to power product and inspirational search
- Write web services in GoLang that cooperate with ElasticSearch in a high-performing composite system
- Create machine-learning-based processes to enrich search data
- Create a custom control plane for ElasticSearch as a React app that talks to the back end described above
Requirements
- 3+ years of recent and relevant work experience with Go/Golang
- Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch is a must
- Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
- Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
