About The Position

RevenueCat is seeking a Senior SDK Engineer to join their remote-first team. This role focuses on designing, building, shipping, and supporting end-to-end features and products that help developers increase their revenue. The ideal candidate will be product-focused, customer-focused, and passionate about creating mobile SDKs with an excellent developer experience. While the primary focus will be on either the iOS or Android SDK based on the candidate's core experience, contributions to other platform and hybrid SDKs will also be required. The company emphasizes a high bar for performance, hard work, and collaboration within a fast-growing, remote environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software.
  • Shipped mobile apps to Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Very experienced in Swift and Swift UI (iOS) or Java/Kotlin and Compose UI (Android).
  • Not afraid of iOS, Android, cross platform, or hybrid platforms.
  • Love making products for developers.
  • Love shipping good products.
  • Deep empathy for customers.
  • Know how to ship high quality code using good testing practices in iterative cycles.
  • Collaborate well with others and can communicate effectively in a fully-remote culture.
  • Proactive: When you see something broken, you jump on it to fix it or suggest improvements.
  • Move fast, test, and iterate quickly.
  • Ask questions when you're stuck on something.
  • Excited to be part of a growing team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building SDKs.
  • Experience in server driven user interfaces.
  • Shipped your own app to Google Play or the App Store.
  • Experience in Python or other backend development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, ship, and support end-to-end features and products.
  • Focus primarily on either iOS or Android SDK, with contributions to other platform and hybrid SDKs.
  • Make products for developers.
  • Ship good products.

  • Learn about customers, SDKs, the in-app subscription ecosystem, and RevenueCat's solutions.
  • Open pull requests and deploy changes.
  • Onboard into the codebase by working on and shipping projects.
  • Learn how transparency is maintained in GitHub.
  • Review code and contribute to engineering culture.
  • Scope and work on projects self-sufficiently.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to reliability and quality.
  • Understand every product owned by the team.
  • Understand and improve many of the codebases the team works with.
  • Become knowledgeable on key features.
  • Have initiatives for improving the codebase and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the team roadmap and technical direction.
  • Ship a major product or feature.
  • Contribute ideas to RevenueCat’s suite of solutions.
  • Spec, architect, and build features.
  • Gain experience in all areas of the technology stack related to SDKs and become a primary expert/owner in at least one area.
  • Mentor and onboard new engineers, shaping the engineering culture.
  • Help prioritize the roadmap to provide maximum value to developers, while pushing the team and technology forward.
