About The Position
The Senior Scrum Master (Agile Coach) is a trusted Agile leader and coach who drives Agile maturity, delivery effectiveness, and organizational change across Liberty Dental Plan. The role partners with Product, Technology, Business, and Executive Leadership teams to embed Agile principles, remove organizational impediments, and foster high-performing teams. It influences Agile practices at team, program, and enterprise levels and supports the organization’s Agile transformation and delivery excellence. The position is remote, with employees required to work within the United States. It collaborates with cross-functional teams, business leaders, product teams, and technology partners throughout the organization. The role offers an opportunity to influence enterprise delivery practices and contribute to organizational transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of Agile delivery, coaching, and transformation experience.
- Experience leading Agile initiatives within large, complex organizations.
- Demonstrated success coaching teams and leaders through organizational change.
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Lean, Scrum, and scaled Agile frameworks, including SAFe.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and servant leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing Agile performance metrics and maturity assessments.
- Strong systems-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational change management skills.
- Must be able to work within the United States; the employer is unable to hire or allow employees to work outside the United States.

- Experience supporting or leading scaled Agile implementations.
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
- ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) certification.
- Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC/CTC) certification.
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification.
- Other advanced Agile coaching certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile coaching efforts across multiple teams, programs, and business functions.
- Partner with leadership to advance the organization's Agile transformation strategy.
- Coach leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams on Agile principles, practices, and mindset.
- Facilitate and support scaled Agile planning and delivery activities, including PI Planning and Agile Release Train events where applicable.
- Assess Agile maturity and develop actionable improvement plans that drive measurable outcomes.
- Mentor Scrum Masters and help establish consistent Agile standards, best practices, and delivery frameworks.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to identify and resolve complex organizational impediments.
- Support the development of Agile metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and promote Agile communities of practice that encourage collaboration, learning, and growth.
- Champion a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
