About The Position

The Research Administration Senior Scientist supports Hartford HealthCare research investigators with the design, analysis, and review of research projects. The role also supports the preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. The successful candidate brings expertise in advanced statistics and biomedical research and works collaboratively with clinical investigators across a variety of research areas. The position includes participating in the mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows, and interacting with clinicians, clinical research staff, and the Hartford HealthCare Institutional Review Board. The position reports to the HHC Director of Research.

Requirements

Doctoral degree and 3 to 5 years of research experience, including complex biostatistical analyses of clinical data, work with databases, and grant writing.
Demonstrated knowledge of research proposal development, study design, and statistical procedures.
Expertise in advanced statistical analysis using software such as SPSS or R.
Relevant database management skills and experience using multivariate data sets.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with healthcare partners and students.

A candidate with a master's degree may be considered if they have significant independent research experience and meet the other qualifications.
