The Sr. Scientist role is an onsite position located in Port Washington, NY, reporting to the Director, Chemistry. This role involves leading research and development for strategic projects impacting various platforms, serving as a technical expert, and driving product specification development.

Requirements

PhD degree in material science, polymer science or chemistry with experience in polymer synthesis, modifications and functionalization.
2+ years' experience with industrial filtration technologies.
Demonstrated ability to write and present technical reports.
Ability to lead in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute research and development for strategic projects that impact the microelectronics, food and beverage, energy transition and aerospace filtration and purification platforms.
Serve as technical voice in conjunction with business unit marketing teams to understand product requirements and drive product specification development technical resource when gathering and evaluating the voice of customer (VOC).
Identify and execute on the most suitable pathways for research and development of new products, product improvements.
Initiate TDPs and manage the TDP portfolio within the chemistry, tech-transfer and cleaning teams.
Develop the capability to serve as subject matter expert in filtration and purification technologies and applications.
