About The Position

Translational Molecular Biomarkers (TMB) is responsible for translating preclinical molecular biomarkers to clinical development programs across all therapeutic areas and all phases of clinical development at our Company's Research laboratories. TB laboratories leverage an array of technologies to develop biomarker assays to help confirm engagement of therapeutic targets and understand mechanisms of drug action and patient response. The Operations & Logistics group within the TMB organization is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team. The individual will play a critical role in providing IT and operational support for processes and infrastructure supporting the clinical biomarker group and our cross-functional stakeholders involved in our Company's clinical studies. This role will encompass all aspects of supporting an industry leading clinical laboratory, including activities such as overseeing internalization of whole slide histopathology images from vendors and using and adapting IT platforms for data processing, laboratory data management and analytics. The successful candidate will provide the laboratory operations support needed to deliver on biomarkers and development strategies.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or MS in a scientific, IT or related field of study
  • Bachelor’s degree in Scientific, IT or related field of study with >3 years of pharmaceutical related experience, OR Master’s degree or higher in a Scientific, IT or related field of study with >2 years of pharmaceutical related experience.
  • Understanding of the use of databases and collaboration tools to process and internalize data and images from vendors.
  • Experience in utilizing technology and various artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to execute within a matrixed organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS S3) and related basic programming including script writing (Python, Linux, and R).
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and various tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with data processing techniques and pipeline building.
  • Familiarity with laboratory IT systems including different LIMS systems.
  • Experience using AI/ML tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology workflows that support biomarker strategy in our Company's clinical trials.
  • Understand and manage the use of external collaboration tools and cloud computing to support data and image internalization.
  • Support teams through processing and reporting of information using various query and database integration tools.
  • Understand and support the integration of disparate data sources.
  • Manage quality control, processes, and the associated documentation required to support information management activities.
  • Monitor processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain effective communications and relationships with project teams, vendors, and other cross-functional our Company teams.
