We are seeking applicants whose research interests center on MRI technology development and/or therapeutic focused ultrasound. The Senior Scientist will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to perform both clinical trial-based and pre-clinical research into the use of focused ultrasound for treating a variety of conditions. These may include primary brain tumors and brain metastases, extracranial solid tumors (e.g., melanoma and breast cancer), Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia, and vascular malformations, such as cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM) and brain arterio-venous malformation (bAVM). Research work will be largely conducted with independent judgment, while reporting outcomes to the PI regularly. Exceptional candidates will be encouraged to develop their own research projects, including seeking extramural funding.
