Requirements
- A BS degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Licensure/certification as a Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, CHMM or related, and/or ability to be registered/certified within 12 months
- Significant, in-depth hands-on environmental experience is required, typically gained through 10–20 years of progressively responsible work aligned with the position’s duties
- Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and programs serving industrial, energy, and commercial clients
- Demonstrated knowledge of brownfield redevelopment, including assessment, risk management, regulatory engagement, grant writing/management and support of redevelopment goals
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- A genuine interest in business development and growing client relationships
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, to understand their needs and develop practical, effective solutions
- Lead and inspire multidisciplinary project teams, driving accountability, quality, and momentum
- Own project performance—managing scope, budget, schedule, risk, and profitability
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships and strategic partnerships
- Mentor staff and contribute to developing the next generation of technical and project leaders
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Response action plans supporting remediation and redevelopment
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Brownfield redevelopment
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Knowledge and experience with local environmental investigation and clean up grants
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Oversight of remedial activities and compliance monitoring
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Scope development, cost estimating, and proposal preparation
- Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including: Data analysis and report writing
- Travel locally and regionally as needed (up to ~20%)
