Job Summary: This role guides, analyzes, and reports in vitro and in vivo biotransformation studies with a strong focus on analytical method development, metabolite profiling, and scientific interpretation. The position collaborates closely with senior staff to ensure high‑quality data delivery aligned with project timelines and client expectations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related scientific field is required.
• In‑depth knowledge of drug metabolism processes including method development, metabolite profiling, and structural determination
• Strong expertise with mass spectrometry instrumentation, including MS and MS/MS data collection and interpretation
• Experience with laboratory troubleshooting, documentation, and application of good laboratory practices
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and milestones with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
• Proven capability to mentor others, model best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Independently perform in vitro and in vivo metabolite identification studies in a regulated environment
• Develop and implement analytical methods for metabolite profiling and structural elucidation
• Interpret MS and MS/MS data to determine metabolite structures and metabolic pathways
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and manage study flow to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables
• Interact with clients on scientific principles, study design, and interpretation of metabolism data
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior and new staff
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, techniques, and study designs to improve efficiency and quality

• The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $80,200.00 - $167,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
