About The Position

Serif Biomedicines is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Scientist to join its Analytical Development and Quality Control team. The role leads method development, optimization, qualification, and implementation to characterize novel nucleic acid therapeutics and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery vehicles, and supports release, stability, and characterization of nucleic acid cargo and LNP products. The Senior Scientist will help advance platform development and shape the team’s analytical capabilities through hands-on laboratory work, technical leadership, and mentorship of junior colleagues. The position includes planning and executing experiments, optimizing analytical method performance, troubleshooting assays and instruments, and supporting routine analytical testing and process-development activities. The successful candidate will communicate findings to internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders, contribute technical input to regulatory filings, and author and manage protocols, laboratory data, and technical reports. The role is based in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Serif Biomedicines is an early-stage biotechnology company developing a gene therapy approach for currently untreatable diseases. It was founded by Flagship Pioneering, which creates and grows life-sciences companies focused on human health and sustainability. The salary range is $126,000–$181,500. Compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Serif Biomedicines currently offers healthcare coverage, an annual incentive program, retirement benefits, and other benefits.
