About The Position

The Senior SAP BTP/Cloud Integration Suite Consultant designs and develops integration scenarios for large-scale, complex SAP S/4HANA implementations supporting federal and Department of Defense (DoD) clients. The role connects S/4HANA with cloud and on-premise legacy systems using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite to build robust, scalable, secure interfaces that support end-to-end business processes. The consultant also advises functional and application development teams on integration strategy and best practices. The consultant develops and manages integration flows and APIs, builds custom applications on BTP runtimes, collaborates on security and requirements, documents interfaces, and monitors and troubleshoots integrations through testing and after go-live. The position also provides technical guidance and informal mentoring, while following certified processes, quality assurance activities, and information security policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or no degree with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience in SAP integration technologies, with a strong focus on SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (formerly Cloud Platform Integration, or CPI).
Proficiency developing iFlows, working with OData, SOAP, REST, and JDBC adapters, and using Groovy scripting.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API-led connectivity, and event-driven architectures.
Ability to work with functional consultants, application developers, and legacy system owners to define and deliver integration requirements.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues.
SAP certification in Integration Suite or SAP BTP, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
U.S. citizenship.
Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 investigation).

Nice To Haves

DoD implementation experience, preferably with the U.S. Navy.
Experience with SAP Event Mesh or SAP Integration Suite Advanced Event Mesh.
Experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI) and migration to SAP Integration Suite.
Experience implementing integration security in federal environments, including DoD security and accreditation requirements.
Experience with the SAP Activate implementation methodology.

Responsibilities

Design and develop SAP Integration Suite integration flows (iFlows) connecting S/4HANA with third-party applications and legacy client systems.
Advise functional and application development teams on integration strategy and best practices.
Configure and manage API endpoints using SAP API Management.
Develop custom applications using SAP BTP, Kyma, and Cloud Foundry runtimes.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce integration security policies.
Work with functional consultants, application developers, and legacy system owners to define and deliver integration requirements.
Create technical documentation for interfaces, including mapping logic and error-handling procedures.
Monitor and troubleshoot integration flows during testing and after go-live, resolving complex issues to ensure interface reliability and performance.
Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to developers and consultants on SAP integration technologies.
Follow certified processes, participate in quality assurance activities, and protect sensitive information in accordance with security policies.
