About The Position

EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. As a Senior SAP Basis Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the SAP technical infrastructure, including installations, upgrades, system monitoring, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure the stability, security, and efficient operation of SAP systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP Basis administration, database management, and infrastructure planning.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant or in a similar role, managing and supporting SAP systems.
Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including system installations, upgrades, and support pack applications.
Proficiency in SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with SAP system landscape design, client administration, and transport management.
Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver architecture and its components.
Knowledge of database management concepts and experience working with databases such as SAP HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
Understanding of SAP security concepts, user administration, and authorization management.
Ability to perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and system recovery.
Familiarity with system interfaces and integration technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Active Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

A master's degree is a plus.
SAP Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and related components.
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP systems.
Configure and manage SAP system landscapes, client administration, and transport management.
Collaborate with technical teams to plan and execute system refreshes, system copies, and system migrations.
Apply SAP notes, support packages, and system patches to maintain system stability and security.
Manage SAP user administration, authorization concepts, and security policies.
Conduct system backups, disaster recovery planning, and system recovery in case of failures.
Collaborate with database administrators to ensure proper maintenance and monitoring of SAP databases.
Monitor system interfaces and integrations with external systems, resolving any issues or errors.
Collaborate with project teams to assess infrastructure requirements and provide technical expertise in system architecture design and planning.
Stay updated with the latest SAP releases, advancements, and best practices, and recommend appropriate solutions and improvements to clients.
Document technical configurations, system changes, and operational procedures.
