Senior Salesforce Developer

LucidLink
$145,000 - $155,000Remote

About The Position

This is a foundational hire responsible for designing and building the core systems that power LucidLink’s revenue engine. As the Senior Salesforce Developer for Enterprise Applications, you will own the hands-on development and delivery of our Salesforce platform and its integration with Stripe, provisioning systems, and downstream data systems. You are a senior developer who thinks like an architect. You bring the depth to build production-quality Apex and integration code, and the breadth to design what should be built before writing a line of it. LucidLink does not yet have the system complexity or team size to justify a dedicated architect role — what we need is someone who can move fluidly between designing a data model in the morning and deploying it in the afternoon, while communicating clearly with RevOps and Finance stakeholders throughout. As our Senior Salesforce Developer for Enterprise Applications & QTC, you will own hands-on development across the full Salesforce platform including Apex, flows, integrations, and data model, while operating as the primary technical point of contact to the VP of Revenue Operations for day-to-day system requirements and delivery.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience of hands-on Salesforce development and end-to-end delivery.
  • Deep Apex coding expertise and experience with classes, triggers, batch jobs, async patterns paired with strong flow and process automation skills.
  • Integration design and build experience with understanding of REST/webhook integrations between Salesforce and external systems (billing platform, ERP, provisioning APIs).
  • Direct experience with at least one commercial billing platform (Stripe, Recurly, Zuora, or equivalent) along with understanding product, contract, and subscription objects, pricing models, invoice triggers, and metering APIs.
  • Hands-on QTC experience in a SaaS environment, having worked with quoting, subscription lifecycle, usage-based billing, revenue recognition, or collections automation.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills to translate a RevOps requirement into a clean data model.
  • Comfort operating as a solo senior contributor on a lean team — you are self-directed, write your own specs, and do not require a dedicated architect above you to function effectively
  • Experience contributing to team growth as a senior resource, having participated in hiring (screening, interviewing, evaluating technical candidates), and mentoring junior or mid-level developers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or evaluation of COTS CPQ or subscription management platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Conga, Zuora, Chargebee, Recurly), including an opinion on when COTS vs. custom.
  • Experience simplifying over-engineered billing architectures.
  • Experience supporting product-led and sales-led motions.
  • Experience transitioning Salesforce ownership from a managed service provider — knowledge transfer, documentation establishment, and the discipline to not break things while the keys are being handed over
  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect).
  • Experience working in a small, early-stage or growth-stage SaaS company.

Responsibilities

  • Own all Salesforce development — Apex, triggers, flows, data model, and integration layer
  • Transition Salesforce platform ownership from our managed service provider to in-house, establishing documentation and governance from day one
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, the billing platform (Stripe/Recurly), and the engineering provisioning backend (WebService)
  • Define and implement a scalable Quote-to-Cash data model supporting all four selling motions
  • Reduce billing system complexity — consolidate pricing plan sprawl, clarify system-of-record ownership, and eliminate duplicate logic
  • Serve as the primary technical delivery partner to the VP of Revenue Operations
  • As the function matures, participate in hiring additional technical staff of developers and operations specialists to grow the team
  • Write production-quality Apex classes, triggers, and flows, owning the full development lifecycle from requirements through deployment.
  • Design and maintain the Salesforce data model with a forward-looking view toward QTC scalability across subscription, usage-based, and partner billing.
  • Build and document REST/webhook-based integrations between Salesforce, billing platform, and provisioning systems with clear system-of-record definitions at each boundary.
  • Evaluate and implement automation opportunities — reducing manual RevOps and Billing Ops workflows through well-designed Salesforce-native solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact to the VP of Revenue Operations — translating business process requirements into delivery-ready system designs and communicating trade-offs and sequencing clearly
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions with RevOps, Finance, and Sales stakeholders — you can facilitate a whiteboard session and walk out with a spec
  • Map LucidLink's four selling motions (Self-Service, Direct Sales, Reseller/MSP, AWS Marketplace) to the appropriate QTC data flows and system touchpoints
  • Partner with Product Engineering on provisioning integration design — you own the Salesforce side, they own WebService; you must be able to design the contract between them
  • Design and build systems supporting the full QTC lifecycle: Digital checkout and self-service subscription activation, Sales-led quoting and contract execution, Subscription lifecycle management (upgrades, downgrades, cancellations), Usage-based metering and billing triggers, Invoice generation and collections workflow
  • Evaluate and support migration from current custom engineering-built billing logic to COTS CPQ or subscription management tooling — you will be a key voice in the build vs. buy decision
  • Lead knowledge transfer from our managed service provider — own the process of mapping existing Salesforce configuration, identifying technical debt, and documenting what you inherit
  • Establish development standards, naming conventions, and deployment practices that will scale as the Enterprise Applications team grows
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog in close coordination with the VP of RevOps and Gregory, with clear sprint commitments and transparent status
  • Contribute to building the Enterprise Applications team — participate actively in screening and interviewing candidates for future developer and operations roles, help define role requirements, and set the technical bar for incoming hires
