About The Position

SMT Inc. is a trusted name in legacy sheet metal fabrication, delivering precision-engineered components to industrial, commercial, and OEM customers for decades. • Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding quota in both new business and account management roles.
  • Strong technical aptitude - able to read basic drawings and understand fabrication processes well enough to have credible customer conversations.
  • Confident communicator and skilled negotiator at all levels, from shop floor buyers to C-suite decision-makers.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) and standard business software.
  • Self-starter who can manage their own schedule, pipeline, and priorities without constant oversight.

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans with clear pipeline goals, activity metrics, and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering to produce competitive, accurate quotes that win jobs without leaving margin on the table.
  • Lead RFQ responses and manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract close.
  • Represent SMT Inc. at trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and emerging customer needs.
  • Report on pipeline, forecast, and sales activity to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
