About The Position

Requirements

  • 6 to 9 years of experience in digital marketing, agency sales, or a closely related field, with sufficient exposure to media and creative work to engage with brand marketing leaders.
  • 3+ years of experience in a B2B sales or business development role, preferably at a digital marketing agency or performance media company.
  • Strong command of full-funnel media strategy, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, and the connection between creative/content and media performance.
  • Experience selling complex, multi-service scopes of work (e.g., agency-of-record, retainer engagements) to marketing leaders at mid-market or enterprise brands.
  • Comfort navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and building relationships with CMO, VP, and Director-level buyers.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets in a consultative sales environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives for client-facing proposals and presentations.
  • High proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) and the ability to build practical workflows, prompt libraries, and lightweight automations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, adopt, and champion new technologies.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Hubspot, Salesforce preferred) and strong pipeline hygiene habits.
  • A competitive, curious mindset with working knowledge of the agency and marketing landscape.
  • Collaborative nature, thriving in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultative sales for strategic partnerships, owning the process of winning agency-of-record engagements with mid-market and enterprise brands.
  • Conduct discovery calls and consultative conversations to understand prospect challenges, identify opportunities, and determine New Engen's impact.
  • Partner with sales strategy, service line leads, and senior leadership to develop proposals and pitch materials in response to RFPs and custom requests.
  • Translate client needs into tailored proposals demonstrating New Engen's capabilities and strategic approach.
  • Advise marketing leaders on growth opportunities across paid media, creative performance, content strategy, and the customer journey.
  • Serve as a steward of New Engen’s sales process, managing pipeline, deal stages, and cross-team handoffs to ensure efficient deal progression.
  • Continuously improve pitch strategy and storytelling by adopting a product mindset, refining pitch decks, positioning, and messaging.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance sales team efficiency and effectiveness, building reusable assets and automating processes.
  • Share learnings to elevate the broader sales organization and champion new technologies.
