About The Position

SkyBeach Resort is seeking an experienced and highly connected Senior Sales Manager to lead the resort's leisure sales strategy across travel advisor, wholesale, FIT, tour operator, and group segments. This senior-level role is responsible for generating significant room revenue through strategic partnerships, account acquisition, contract negotiations, and market development while serving as a key ambassador for the resort within the travel industry. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of driving leisure sales production for resorts or destination hotels, maintains an established network of travel industry relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This individual will play a critical role in positioning SkyBeach Resort as a premier waterfront destination for domestic and international travelers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hotel sales experience, including significant leisure sales responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in travel industry, wholesale, FIT, tour operator, and leisure group sales.
  • Existing relationships within the travel advisor, host agency, wholesale, and tour operator community strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hotel distribution channels, revenue management principles, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, hotel sales software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel regularly for sales calls, trade shows, and client events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive leisure sales strategies to maximize room revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Lead efforts to grow FIT, wholesale, tour and travel, consortia, host agency, and travel advisor production.
  • Identify new market opportunities and distribution channels to drive incremental demand.
  • Establish annual sales plans, revenue targets, and account strategies aligned with resort objectives.
  • Monitor production trends and adjust strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key travel advisors, host agencies, tour operators, receptive operators, wholesalers, and travel consortium partners.
  • Negotiate preferred partnerships, contracts, and rate agreements that drive profitable business.
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, webinars, client entertainment, and site inspections.
  • Represent the resort at industry trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Develop and execute familiarization trips (FAMs) and travel industry events.
  • Generate group business including leisure and specialty travel segments.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through contracting and turnover.
  • Partner with operations and revenue management to ensure successful execution and profitability of group business.
  • Conduct site visits and destination presentations for prospective clients.
  • Build strategic relationships with destination marketing organizations, tourism boards, airlines, attractions, event organizers, and local partners.
  • Develop promotional partnerships and package opportunities that enhance the guest experience while increasing resort revenue.
  • Actively promote SkyBeach Resort within the regional and national travel community.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, account management, and forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Analyze production reports, market intelligence, and competitive data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, account reviews, and business development updates for leadership.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established room night and revenue goals.
