About The Position

UPM Adhesive Materials is looking for a Senior Sales Manager, West who will be responsible for driving field execution and leading a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs). This role is key to strengthening commercial execution and supporting the continued development of a high-performing field sales team. Success in this position comes from combining a hands-on leadership approach with strong coaching skills, clear communication, and a commitment to helping people and the business achieve their goals. The role involves developing talent, driving performance, and working closely with customers and teams.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of business experience, including customer-facing roles and successful leadership of sales teams in a multinational environment
  • Proven experience leading B2B sales organizations, with a strong track record of improving sales performance, execution, and business results
  • Effective coach who develops talent, supports growth, and helps teams achieve their full potential
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in pricing, negotiation, and identifying opportunities for profitable growth
  • Hands-on, field-oriented approach to leadership while maintaining a strategic perspective on business priorities and market developments
  • Ability to build accountability, foster high performance, and create an environment where teams can succeed together
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, enabling collaboration with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Strong project management, analytical, and data analysis capabilities, using insights to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement
  • Adaptability to changing business environments and comfort leading through transformation and growth
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent execution of commercial priorities across the region to support business objectives and profitable growth
  • Translate business strategy into clear goals, priorities, and actions for Territory Sales Managers
  • Spend time in the field with the sales team, providing coaching, feedback, and development support through regular customer visits and ride-alongs
  • Strengthen pipeline management practices and help the team improve sales execution throughout the customer journey
  • Coach and support high-value sales opportunities to increase win rates and overall sales effectiveness
  • Promote pricing discipline and commercial excellence while balancing customer value and business performance
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, development, and high performance
  • Lead performance, pipeline, and territory reviews to identify opportunities, address challenges, and support continuous improvement
